About the Author

John Betancourt spent many childhood summers with his parents at remote archaeological sites, primarily in Greece. With nothing much to do there, he read a lot. One summer he ran out of books and started making up his own stories. He’s been writing ever since.

John has done editorial work for Amazing® Stories magazine, Weird Tales magazine, and Byron Preiss Visual Publications. Now a free-lance writer and editor, his credits include The Sci-Fi Channel Trivia Book (forthcoming from Putnam/Byron Preiss) and several Star Trek novels, among many other books. This is his third novel for TSR, Inc.
