Anin stared at the Fas brothers, stunned at their news. “Ryen is mated?” Nu Fas nodded with assurance, the giant male simply lovely in his arrogance. Tall, broad and full of hard muscle, he was a Ragga through and through. Both he and Set, his brother, looked enough alike to be twins. Long dark hair, orange eyes, ruddy skin, with the height and brawn of warriors. Yet she had no trouble telling them apart. Nu rarely smiled, always growling, whereas Set was the more charming of the two.
“Where will I go?” she asked, not sure what to do. For the past month, since her escape from the hated labs on planet Eyra, she’d lived aboard Mara’s Light. She tended to the domestic duties on the ship, given her own berthing, clothes and responsibilities. Heaven for a woman needing some space and a new direction in her life. But she’d always known this stay was temporary.
The Fas brothers had convinced her to remain with them while their ship docked on Mardu. The captain of Mara’s Light was taking time off with her mate. The other crew members had been encouraged to do the same while their ship received its due maintenance.
Anin wanted to stay with Erin but didn’t want to intrude on her sister’s happiness with Rafe. She’d thought to stay with Ryen once he settled in. Even though he had trouble controlling himself, Ryen would never hurt her. In the short months of their initial escape, he’d taught her to stand up for herself. To believe in her own opinions and make decisions.
“You’ll stay here,” Set said with a smile. He refused to look away from her eyes, and she knew it was because he didn’t want her to see his fascination with her body. The few times she’d caught him studying her ass and breasts, he’d been hard. Like he was now.
“Agreed?” Nu asked. “You’ll stay with us. We’re taking our break on Ragga. We’ll be leaving on a shuttle in a few hours.”
“Yes, Sir.” She bowed her head, at one with the submissive tendencies bred into her.
She smiled to herself when she heard Set’s low moan. He had a real thing for sexual dominance. She could sense it in him, the arousal whenever she neared, but especially when she tried to serve him.
“None of that,” Nu said, his voice thick. “You’re not our servant, Anin. You’re our guest.” He reached under her chin with his large hand, holding her still so he could look at her. His fingers felt like silk, so tender, so careful over her flesh. “We wish to show you our world, if that is your desire.”
Her desire? She wanted to please him and Set. Together, apart, at once. And not just in a platonic way, but sexually. He and Set seemed to take pleasure in her nearness. Though she kept a tight rein on her pheromones, her body and face had been designed to appeal to all males in the System. These two were no different, in that respect.
Except that they maintained such a wary distance. They knew she was a Creation, and she hated it. Her kind was right to be feared. Hell, look at what Ryen had done to the scientists who’d enslaved them. Killed them all in brutal, painful ways. But Anin was different. She didn’t want to hurt anyone. She wanted to please.
Would they ever see her as a woman needing love and not a monstrous Creation? Her eyes filled with tears.
“Don’t do that,” Nu growled. He wiped a tear from her eye, and the drop clung to his thumb.
“Idiot. What’d you do to make her cry?” Set asked in a harsh voice.
He ripped her from Nu and hugged her, careful not to crush her in his arms.
Anin shivered. She couldn’t help her arousal. His touch was perfection, like his brother’s. She’d never felt such attraction for a male before meeting them. When her pheromones settled over the three of them, she couldn’t help her sigh of relief. It was so difficult keeping her needs in check.
“Dammit, Anin. I thought we’d agreed you’d keep that perfume under wraps,” Nu rasped and caged her between himself and his brother. His cock dug into her back, and Set shifted to bring her inline with his erection in front.
On no. She’d displeased Nu. She hadn’t thought past her own needs. Selfish Creation, she could almost hear her Handler say.
“Dammit.” Set leaned down and wiped the tears from her cheeks. “Ignore my brother. You want to serve? Go ahead, baby. Serve as much as you want to.”
“Set—”
“Nu, you don’t understand. But I’m beginning to.” Set smiled down at her, his harsh features beautiful in their savagery. “You want to please me, Anin? You go ahead.”
He bent his head, waiting for her kiss. But Anin wanted something else. She dropped to her knees and reached for the fastening of his trousers.
She heard dual groans but couldn’t think past her own desire. Nu lifted her quickly to her feet, but before she could protest, Set stole her words with a kiss.
“This is going to be one helluva trip home,” Nu rumbled. He grabbed Anin from his brother. “My turn.”
